I was born in Upstate New York.

I studied art at several institutions, including the School of Visual Arts in New York and the San Francisco Art Institute for graduate-level work. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in History and obtaining an art teaching credential, I spent nearly 20 years teaching high school art. Since 2021, I have lived and worked as a full-time artist in Martinez, California.
